It was a sunny, Sunday afternoon and my wife and I were out and about running small errands. It just so happened, miracle of miracles, that Lynn had an "awesome" coupon for almonds on her, so into the Rite-Aid lot we pulled. As I watched her in the rearview mirror disappear into the store I thought to myself, "so this is what my life has come to (sigh)" and turned on the radio. The car we were in happened to have satellite radio which was set to a "Hits Of The Eighties" station. This song came on and as I listened, it dawned on me what a great bass line it was - fluid and melodic, busy but not too busy - weaving around the vocal line without ever getting in it's way. "Tears For Fears" were huge in the eighties if you did not know. I came home, quickly learned the song (which was much easier than I'd thought it would be) and made this video. I then went downstairs and ate some almonds which, as I remember, were quite good and, thanks to the coupon, reasonably priced.
